Q: Is Tours of Tuscany insured?
A: Tours of Tuscany is an Australian company registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and carries Public Liability insurance & Professional Indemnity insurance.
Q: Are there laundry facilities?
A: Yes.
Q: Is the accommodation in walking distance to the town centre?
A: The accommodation is approximately 10 km from Camucia-Cortona.

Q: What is the dress code?
A: Comfortable clothing and walking shoes for daily tours and smart casual for dinners.
Q: Will my phone work in Italy? Will I be able to check my emails or make calls during the trip?
A: It is best to ascertain your requirements in terms of communication prior to arriving in Italy. You may choose to purchase a local sim card for your Ipad or mobile upon your arrival in Italy. (ensure your devices are unlocked by your Carrier). On purchase you are required to provide the Carrier identification, generally copy of your passport.
Q: What if I’m vegetarian or require a particular diet?
A: You are able to choose from an open menu for all meals and the selection is varied and caters well for vegetarians.
Q: Can I drink the tap water in Italy?
A: Yes, although many people prefer bottled water.
Q: Is there a lot of walking?
A: Walking is part of the tour itinerary and although in some instances you may need to climb stairs and walk over cobble stoned streets, the walking is quite leisurely and you are able to stop and take a break if required.
Q: Can I make changes to my itinerary before or during the trip?
A: Itineraries are provided in order to ensure all our guests have the utmost travelling experience and we therefore do not amend itineraries once your tour has commenced.
Q: Who takes the tours?
A: Ines Fabris, Director of Tours of Tuscany, personally takes you on tour together with her daughter Monique.
Q: What time can I check-in? Can I request an early check-in?
A: Check in is at 4pm; we can however accommodate check in from 2pm.
Q: Do I need travel insurance?
A: We highly recommend travel insurance and all who book with Tours of Tuscany require proof of travel insurance. You are required to purchase your own travel insurance to cover cancellation coverage, airline tickets, trip delay, lost luggage or any potential medical expenses.
Q: Can young children travel?
A: Our tours are not suitable for young children.
Q: Will I get to see sunflower fields?
A: The sunflowers are in bloom in July and August, although sometimes they bloom towards the end of June.
Q: When is the best time to travel?
A: July, August, September is peak season, both from the number of travellers and the Summer heat. Although June can sometimes be mild. May and June and September and early October are good options for milder weather conditions.
Q: Will I get to see sunflower fields?
A: The sunflowers are in bloom in July and August, although sometimes they bloom towards the end of June.
Q: Is there any free time?
A: We have scheduled tour free days within our respective itineraries and there is also the opportunity of spending time on your own on any of the scheduled daily tours.
Q: What time do our day trips start?
A: Our touring day generally commences at 9am
Q: What is the average age of those in your groups?
A: Our guests vary in age from 35 through to 75 years of age.
Q: What will the food be like?
A: The food is typically Italian; all the meals provided are from an open menu and you are therefore able to select from a large range of foods.
Q: How often do your tours run?
A: Our touring season commences late April through to early October and we run our tours on a weekly basis commencing on a Saturday and ending on a Saturday.
